About Me

I am a biogeochemist specializing in spatial and temporal change. My work combines techniques from interdisciplinary science fields to address the pressing environmental changes of our time.

My scientific research examines carbon and nutrient dynamics, with a focus on how humans impact biogeochemical cycles. My research employs various approaches, including  instrumentation design for greenhouse gas assessment, stable isotopes as historical proxies, and plant and ecosystem monitoring, to understand rapid change across scales from local to global. I studied geobiology at Brown University (B.Sc.) and environmental science at Drexel University and the Academy of Natural Sciences (Ph.D.). Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow in Earth & Environment at Boston University with the Society of Fellows.

I am also passionate about sharing science through education and outreach, focusing on climate change and local environments. I use art and creative communication projects to inspire public engagement and student interest in science topics. Through teaching and mentoring undergraduates, students participate in interdisciplinary, project-based learning and hands-on data analysis and field trips. I have also authored several evidence-based science children's books for outreach purposes.

Advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in science careers is central to my research and teaching. I continuously engage with literature and aim to be an equity-minded educator and mentor, ensuring that opportunities and resources are accessible for everyone to participate in studying natural science.
